Our new Technical Support will, in close cooperation with the rest of the technical team, play an important part in giving technical support to all Bunker One´s departments as well as across the entire Bunker Holding group. Besides participating in drawing up safety procedures in connection with handling of bunkers – also within new fuels such as methanol, ammonia, hydrogen etc., you will also participate in and carry out various projects related to ESG reporting – such as overseeing and following up on fuel saving within the supply chain of Bunker One.
You will refer to Technical Manager, Steffen Kortegård, who will also take function as Mentor to this role. The position is based in Aalborg, where other departments within Bunker Holding are also situated. For that reason, you will be joining several experienced colleagues, who always strive to optimize, perfect, and develop within their field of expertise.
Other key responsibilities:
- Participate in various technical boards- and correspondence groups regarding bunkers and fuel related topics (DanishShipping, ISO, IBIA etc.)
- Writing and updating policies and contingency plans
- Follow-up on ESG reporting amongst others co2 reduction and documentation of effect
- Keeping up to speed with newest international law and regulations within the field
A detail-oriented profile with the willingness to learn
As a person, you are structured, detail-oriented with a proactive approach and possess great communication skills. You might have experience from being at sea in a position as engineer or navigator. It could also be that you have basic knowledge and great interest within the field and have the eagerness and willingness to learn and expand your knowledge even further. Either way, you will become part of a team, that guide and help each other and value the fundamentals of sparring and knowledge sharing to heighten the skills of everyone in the team. As well as being positive, and a skilled team player, it is important you are comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with different nationalities and in building a sustainable connection with key stakeholders.
Furthermore, you have:
- Project management skills
- Solid language skills verbally as well as in writing in Danish and English
- Experience with working in excel and power point
- Possibility and desire to travel +50 days a year
