With this unique opportunity, our new Administrative Assistant will be joining us in Montreal, Quebec and will play a big part in facilitating and assisting our global tax and accounting team in keeping track of compliance and the daily indirect tax conditions in Canada across the entire Bunker Holding Group. While expanding your knowledge within the tax area, you will among other tasks be responsible for communicating with suppliers and shipping agents for document collection, filing/filling out documents and assisting the Tax team with various tax related matters. You will furthermore be communicating with key stakeholders such as Finance Managers and their teams across the group in respect of reporting and following new initiatives from Revenue Quebec and Canada Revenue Agency.

Other core responsibilities

  • Keeping track of reporting deadlines and all Group activities within Canada
  • Overseeing Canada Balance accounts in Dynamics Business Central (DBC)
  • Lead on Tax Audits, hereunder communication with Authorities
  • Knowledge sharing with Bunker Holding Tax Team in Denmark
  • Re-invoicing GST/QST to settle all group accounts

Detail-oriented profile with strong communication skills
As a person, you are detail-oriented with a proactive approach and a good common sense. You might bring 1-2 years of experience from a similar position or be fresh out of college and ready to expand your competencies within the field. Besides having strong communication skills, you are positive, flexible and a skilled team player with a natural drive and strong interest in creating best practice within your field of expertise.

Furthermore, you have:

  • Knowledge of Canadian taxes and ability to file taxes on the government platforms
  • A Diploma/Bachelor’s in accounting
  • Bilingual competencies (French & English)
  • Skilled in DBC, Navision, Excel.
  • The ability to travel for training purposes.
