SOFTWARE DEVELOPER IN AARHUS

Responsibilities
Together with our development teams you will be responsible for developing and maintaining in-house product suites aiming at helping and supporting our colleagues operating in the commodity trading market.

About the team
There is no “ivory tower” here - meaning most decisions are taken in consensus with the team and the product owner, who is very involved in the solution.
There is a dedicated Scrum Master on the team, that facilitates the different SCRUM ceremonies we have built our delivery process around. We constantly evaluate on and adjust the process to make sure we do things because it makes sense and not because we must.

We work in a service-oriented landscape, trying to maintain a sane level between service boundaries and size. We do not have a support team, which means that we strive to have efficient release processes and easily accessible metrics for our services. We have a high focus on the ability to deliver often as we believe this is a major aspect of delivering high quality software.
Every third Friday is “Innovation Friday”. Here the team is encouraged to try out new technologies, frameworks or just POC a “great idea” on how to solve something differently.

The systems
The system we are building handles everything from capturing derivative trades to sending invoices and everything in between. Our customer is Global Risk Management (GRM). Our system consists of several services, each having a different responsibility and view on data.
It is a mixed system landscape, of on-premise virtual machines and k8s deployments, we continuously work on updating our existing codebase, so we can deploy more and more into Kubernetes and other Azure PaaS products.
Everything is setup using Azure DevOps-pipelines to ensure a smooth CI/CD experience.

About you
