The shipping industry has always been an area of interest for me due to its essential role in global trade and its transnational nature.

This led me to picking up several shipping law modules in school, and I eventually began my practical legal training in the shipping department of a private law firm. Those years taught me invaluable lessons in drafting legal documents and handling disputes, but I often still wondered about the commercial day-to-day facets of the shipping industry, which I had not yet been exposed to. In March 2014, I was appointed at Bunker Holding, and this opened a new world to me. My role at the company required involvement at various stages of transactions, from start to finish, and this allowed me to gain more knowledge and insight into the commercial aspects of how a shipping-related business is run.

This translated into growth and improvement in my areas of expertise. As for the work environment, I really enjoy the high level of competency and professionalism demonstrated by my colleagues. Daily interaction with counterparts from all over the world is a unique and interesting opportunity to treasure. I look forward to the continued development of Bunker Holding and the opportunities that will come along with it.
